By accessing or using StatBox ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
StatBox is a daily sports-guessing game. We currently offer NBA and MLB modes. Within each sport:
We reserve the right to modify, add, or remove features at any time. We will provide reasonable notice of changes that significantly affect paid features.
You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account or use the App. By using the App, you confirm that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or guardian before purchasing a subscription.
AUTO-RENEWAL NOTICE: Premium subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period at the then-current rate unless you cancel before the renewal date. You will be charged to the payment method on file. You can cancel at any time via your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period — you will not be charged again after that.

Prices are displayed in US dollars. If you are located outside the United States, your bank or payment provider may apply currency conversion fees. For users in the EU and UK, applicable VAT or taxes will be added at checkout where required by law.
All payments are processed by Stripe, Inc., a third-party payment processor. We do not store your full card number or banking details. By subscribing, you agree to Stripe's Services Agreement and Privacy Policy. You authorize Stripe to charge your payment method on a recurring basis for the subscription fee.
Your subscription begins on the date you complete your purchase. It renews automatically on the same calendar date each month (monthly plan) or each year (annual plan). We will send you a reminder email before each renewal so you have the opportunity to cancel if you no longer wish to continue.
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings (Manage Subscription), or by emailing us at statbox.game@gmail.com. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to Premium features until that date and will not be charged again after cancellation.
We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods. If you cancel mid-period, you retain access until the period ends and no further charges will occur. Exceptions may apply in the following cases:
We may change subscription pricing from time to time. We will notify you by email at least 30 days before any price increase takes effect on your account. Your continued subscription after that date constitutes acceptance of the new price. If you do not accept the new price, you may cancel before the change takes effect.
If you are located in the European Union or United Kingdom, you have the right to withdraw from your subscription contract within 14 days of purchase without giving any reason (the "cooling-off period"). However, because the Premium subscription service starts immediately upon purchase, you will be asked to expressly agree at checkout that you waive your right of withdrawal in exchange for immediate access. If you do not waive this right, your subscription will not start until the 14-day period has passed.
If you have not waived your right of withdrawal and wish to cancel within 14 days, contact us at statbox.game@gmail.com. We will confirm your cancellation and issue a proportional refund for the unused portion of the 14-day period.
If a payment fails, we will attempt to notify you by email. If the payment cannot be recovered after reasonable attempts, your subscription may be downgraded to the free tier and access to Premium features will be suspended until payment is resolved.

All content, branding, game mechanics, and code associated with StatBox are owned by us. NBA statistics are sourced from publicly available data provided by Basketball Reference (basketball-reference.com). MLB statistics are sourced from publicly available data provided by Baseball Reference (baseball-reference.com). StatBox is not affiliated with or endorsed by the NBA, MLB, or any of their teams, Basketball Reference, or Baseball Reference.
We take the protection of our original concept and design seriously. If any individual or entity is found to have blatantly copied or misappropriated StatBox's core game concept, branding, or design in a way that constitutes intellectual property infringement, we reserve the right to pursue all appropriate legal remedies, including injunctive relief and monetary damages.
StatBox is provided "as is." We make no guarantees that the App will be available at all times or error-free. Daily puzzles are generated automatically and we cannot guarantee the accuracy of every stat displayed. Nothing in these Terms limits statutory rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, StatBox and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to loss of data or loss of access to the service. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
EU and UK consumers: Nothing in this section removes or limits your statutory rights under applicable consumer protection law, which cannot be excluded by contract.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. In the event of termination for cause, no refund will be issued for any remaining paid period. You may delete your account at any time. If you have an active paid subscription, we will process a proportional refund for any unused portion of a prepaid annual plan upon account deletion unless you are being terminated for cause.
We may update these Terms from time to time. For changes that materially affect your rights or obligations (including pricing or subscription terms), we will notify you by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. For EU and UK consumers, you have the right to terminate your subscription without penalty if you do not accept material changes. Continued use of the App after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall first be attempted to be resolved informally by contacting us at statbox.game@gmail.com. If informal resolution fails, disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Florida, except where prohibited by applicable law.
EU and UK consumers: Nothing in this section prevents you from bringing claims before the courts of your country of residence or relying on the mandatory consumer protection laws of your country.
EU consumers: The European Commission provides an online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
